Premium Tatkal Opening Timing

Indian Railway Catering and Transportation Corporation launched a new scheme in 2014, known as Premium Tatkal. The premium tatkal and general tatkal are similar in many features including booking timings, rules & regulations, privacy policies, etc. The fares are dynamic and are much more than the normal tatkal quota. Basically, the fares of the premium tatkal depend upon the demand and urge for the tickets.

• The booking process for all the AC classes of the train starts from a day before the date of your journey at 10 am.
• Similarly, the booking process for all the Non-AC classes of the train starts from a day before the date of your journey at 11 am.

For AC

The journeys are too hard and even suffocating in the hot days of the summer. Isn't it? Despite the weather, trains are the best means of transportation ever. For all the AC class of travel, the reservation process starts from 10 am a day before the date of your journey.

For Sleeper 

Sleeper coaches are also very comfortable with no AC facility even. Hence, it comes under the Non-AC class of trains. The fare for sleeper coaches is generally lesser than the other AC coaches such as AC 3 Tier, AC 2 Tier, AC Chair Car. The booking timings are different for different classes of the train.

Premium Tatkal Booking Timing 2020

There is no difference in the booking timings of both premium tatkal and normal tatkal tickets. But, the timings of a different class of travel such as AC and Non-AC differ by an hour. In general, the reservation process for AC classes starts from 10 am and all the Non-AC classes start from 11 am from a day before the date of your journey.

• Non-AC reservation timings: 11 am to 11:30 am

Tatkal Booking Timings

Indian Railway Catering and Transportation Corporation or simply IRCTC allows you to book the ticket under a given period of time. The Indian Railways has introduced a new scheme in 2014 that is Premium Tatkal. The timings, rules & regulations for both of these are almost the same. The timings usually start from 10 am for AC coaches' reservation and 11 am for the Non-AC coaches reservation. Basically, the AC coaches include AC 3Tier, AC 2 Tier, AC Chair Car, and Non-AC coaches include Reserve Second Sitting and Sleeper coaches. Be careful while booking your tickets as there would be no second chance available if there is any mistake in the reservation form. Also, no refund is available if you cancel out the ticket.

Sleeper Tatkal Booking Timings

Sleeper coach is the best choice if you want to travel during night times and it is cheaper than the AC coaches comparatively. The sleeper coaches are also very comfortable to travel. If you have a low budget and want a comfortable journey, then sleeper coaches are the best choice for you. Sleeper coaches have no AC attached to it, So, it is a Non-AC class of the train. For all, Non-AC classes including Reserve Second Sitting and Sleeper coaches the reservation timings start from 11 am and For all AC classes including AC 3 Tier, AC 2 Tier, AC Chair Car coaches the reservation timings start from 10 am, a day before the date of your journey. You might not avail of the train ticket under the tatkal scheme on the same date of your journey as tickets get exhausted quickly due to its huge demand and immediate reservation process.

The booking of tickets under the tatkal scheme starts from a day before the date of your journey at 10 am, for all the AC classes of the train. For all the Non-AC classes of the train, the booking process starts at 11 am a day before the date of your journey.

AC Tatkal Bookings
