The premium tatkal is a newly launched scheme by the Indian Railways in 2014. Basically, normal tatkal and premium tatkal shares most of the features in common such as booking timings, cancellation process, rules & regulations, etc. The ticket fares under premium tatkal are a bit more than the normal tatkal due to its additional features that are absent in normal tatkal. The opening timings of the premium tatkal are the same as that of normal tatkal. The opening time for the AC and Non-AC classes of travel is from a day before the date of your journey at 10 a.m. and 11 a.m respectively.
